The newsletter this month was discussing two factors of happiness which are managing personal finances and developing work life balance.  Whether you are working, raising a family, volunteering for a charity, one of the main components that leads to happiness is loving what you do.

"Doing what you love is freedom.  Loving what you do is happiness."---  Lana Del Rey

This doesn't mean loving every moment of every day and it doesn't require that you love 100% of what you do. However, if you absolutely hate what you are doing you will not find happiness.  Some people have created a life that follows their purpose and allows them to use their talents resulting in a very happy life.

Today's Coaching Challenge

Is there a part of your life that isn't satisfactory and doesn't make you happy such as your job, your health, your relationships?  Have you ever stopped to think about what part of it isn't working for you?

Without giving serious thought to that area there is no way for you to change it or even adapt.  Can you find some little thing that you enjoy even if it seems small and irrelevant?  Rarely is something so miserable that you can't find something good about it.  If it is that bad, don't suffer, make a change.

Action to take

Make a list today of the different areas of your life, as mentioned above.  Rate each from 1 to 10 with 1 being intolerable and 10 being ideal.  This will allow you to see what needs either your attention or a different perspective. Then focus on the area that rated the lowest and start there.  Look to find something good about it and make a plan to change the things you can.

Always supporting you,                                                                                                                                                                                                  Jan
